Image of a broken knee cap Rodney was taken to an orthopedic doctor last week so they could look at his knee. After they x-rayed it the doctor stated right about that the patella (knee cap) was broken. About a quarter to a third of the kneecap is broken off and was smashed into mush. It will never fuse itself with the rest of the kneecap. However, his body will absorb some of the mush, and when it does they will look at it again to see if surgery is required to fix anything in the knee. Because of this injury, Rodney needs to wear a brace (that works similar to a cast) for 6 weeks. Since this is on his right leg, he cannot drive, walk, or mow the lawn until his knee is strong enough to do so. Rodney is still at home recovering, but is hoping to go back to work in a week or so.
